CD Cargo Rils

Hi there ,

I'm msts.be , from Belgium.... I saw monday in Boom (between Antwerp and Brussels) that a few cars were being shunted , with a few CD Cargo Rils wagons in the consist !

I went yesterday back to the station , luckily there was still 1 stabled , so I could take pictures of it and import it in MSTS ....

This is how it looks now :

The model has to be remapped anyway , because some plates with the weight , length ... and other details are bad mapped or are in the wrong place .. I will also adapt then the back of the car , which differs somewhat from Luc Liebelin's SNCF model ... when this all has been modified , you will have an exact (or almost exact) replica of your CD Cargo Rils !

I saw on Filip Havels site that there is already a Rils wagon , but after making some research , I saw that the skinner had just placed a CD Cargo logo over the standard included "bache"... the plates with weight , length .. were still standard (French) , even the plate with the UIC number was just repainted in black , not even the right model of plate !

And then I read the readme , where stands that this wagon was made in March of this year ??? NO WAY !! In the year 2005 , where digital cameras
are affordable , and one can make pictures in yards with permission , this can't absolutly be true !

I hope that with my model , you will be happy because it will be more real ...

But that's fine : I wasn't able to contact Luc Liebelin , because he hasn't internet access since January 2004.This means also that the former Rils was released ILLEGAL....

For the MSTS version the story ends here (I will not make any further work) , for the TRS2004 version the story just starts here ... although it is just a Paintshed skin (NO RealTextures , Paintshed + RealTextures = disaster) , it's better than nothing ... the model there is also less correct than the real , but if I must pay attention to all of that ... and most of the users won't pay attention to it of all ....

Well, I am not sure, whether this new reskin is based on your comments. In fact, at least the model (but I think the repaint too) was made (and released in some Slovak liveries, can be downloaded at http://trainsim.ic.cz ) even before your first post, but in fact it was a reaction for *little bit outmeasured* old model. And sometimes real-textures /or as we say phototextures/ aren't avalible. Then repainters use everything what is avalible (e.g. I have never seen that wagon in real at all ... and maybe even repaint's author might have seen it only on photographs). And about it's illegality, even for example I have downloaded that old Rils in Italian painting with no readme nor author credit included.
